Apartment buildings, a handful of local restaurants, NYU Langone Medical Center anchoring the east side of the neighborhood, Baruch College a few blocks west. Most sushi that arrives in Kips Bay comes from the same small pool of delivery-optimized restaurants: high-volume kitchens cranking out rolls designed for throughput, not taste. The fish is what it is, the rice is what it is, and the whole thing is engineered to not disappoint rather than to genuinely impress. That's the baseline. Atto exists well above it.
Select fish at Atto are carefully aged in-house. Aging allows the texture to soften and the flavors to deepen, and it's most notably applied to medium-fatty tuna, which develops a melt-in-your-mouth texture and concentrated umami. Not every fish is aged — the chef selects only varieties that benefit from the process.
What to Order for Delivery
Nigiri Platters
The most popular delivery format from Atto is a chef-selected nigiri platter. The kitchen chooses the fish based on what's at peak condition that day — the same philosophy as omakase, scaled to a takeout format. Platters are packed with fish and rice handled carefully so the integrity of each piece is maintained through the delivery window.
Sashimi
Sashimi travels exceptionally well when it's packed right. Because there's no rice involved, the fish can be packed cold without worrying about rice temperature. If you prefer to eat sashimi-style at home with your own condiments and pacing, this is a strong choice from our menu.
Lunch Specials (Mon–Fri)
Our lunch specials are available Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 2:45 PM: Hachi (8 nigiri + 1 roll) for $30, or Atto Style (10 deluxe nigiri) for $50, both with miso soup or salad.
Appetizers
Edamame, seaweed salad, house salad, miso soup, yellowtail carpaccio, and toro tartare round out a full at-home meal alongside nigiri or sashimi.
